There are many angler who enjoy fishing for a smaller catch in a freshwater environment with an occasional fish that is big enough to fillet. Many of these anglers have there own boat and gear while not having to worry about renting the equipment as well. There are others however that like the fight of a larger fish and these anglers prefer a saltwater environment.

Those who enjoy saltwater fishing are facing challenges that the freshwater angler does. It requires special fishing poles that can handle the weight of these larger fish. Special tackle and lures that are used to bring in these larger fish and boats that capable of handing the special poles.

The charter will depend on the number of anglers who will be attending the cruise. You can expect to pay around $1600 per day for a low end charter and $2800 if you want to spice it up somewhat. These boats have the right gear to handle the fishing poles used for this type of angling. The captain of the boat usually has a good idea where certain catches are available for different kinds of fish from his experience.

Speaking of experience, its a good idea to have some experience when saltwater fishing in the deeper waters. Knowing what types of bait to use and what kind of a fight you can expect to experience will definitely have an impact that you will have during your fishing trip. There are some fish that can put up a fight, which many anglers enjoy as part of the trip.

There’s a wide variety of saltwater fish available depending on the location that you are at such as: Blue Mackerel, Snapper, Sea Bass, Mackerel, Tuna, Tarpon, Swordfish, Grouper, Flounder, Bluefish, Bullfish and a whole lot more. There are some of these fish that have tournaments for the largest size fish brought in and some times the prize money can be somewhat impressive during saltwater fishing.

The types of fish that you want to catch mainly have a factor of location. You may find some fish in the northeast part of the country, or the southeast while others have the best catch ratio in the Atlantic of the Carolina coast. There are others, such as tuna, that can be found mostly in the northwest coast. Knowing where the fish spawn will result in the best fishing results for most anglers interested in saltwater fishing. Most charter companies can relay this type of information whether are not you book a boat with their company or not.
